THEORY: Creating that is based on exploration and allows different outcomes seems to be one of the most fascinating activities for children. The teacher's role is limited to encourage children to express themselves in colors and shapes. The long-term goal is to foster their creativity by providing opportunities to experiment, feel free to express what one can imagine and understand that creating can become part of daily experiences.
PRACTICE: The following pictures were created while the students listened to some pieces of Irish folk music. The shapes, patterns and colors reflect "the mood of each individual artist". The students inspired by folk music allowed themselves to play around, experiment, have fun with colors and ideas that came to their minds, and express what they felt that moment not knowing precisely the outcome of their actions.
